Jennifer was raised in the Okanagan and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from University of British Columbia Okanagan in 2007.  She started her career working to reunify parents and children involved in ministry care and since 2011 has worked in various health care settings.  Most recently she worked as an addictions counsellor for individuals involved in the criminal justice setting.  Through almost 15 years of practice as a registered Social Worker she has utilized a strengths based approach that is trauma informed and has been able to support growth and healing for individuals and families.

Jennifer is client-centered and recognizes that individuals have the power to make positive change.  She facilitates this process using various approaches to support the modification of thinking patterns and behaviors.  Jennifer utilizes a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Plus, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.  She understands that everyone’s needs are different and blends a variety of approaches tailored to meet each individual’s needs.
