Olivia Donaher, MACP

Olivia (she/her/hers) is a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology graduate student and a member in good standing with the Canadian Counselling Psychology Association. Previous training includes compassionate communications and mediation courses. Olivia strongly desires to uplift the marginalized and provide her clients with a safe space of caring and non-judgement.

Olivia has a solution-focused approach that helps build hope and optimism. Her goal is to help her clients see their strengths, build resilience, and create manageable goals. In addition to Solution Focused Therapy, Olivia draws on modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-based interventions.

At home, Olivia adores her chickens, dogs, and human family. She is an active volunteer with the SPCA and often has a variety of foster animals, big and small. Olivia appreciates all kinds of humour and believes laughter can be the best medicine. As a past archaeologist Olivia retains a passion for the preservation of culture and is sensitive to issues of social justice. Olivia thankfully acknowledges that she lives and works on the lands of the Syilx Peoples.
