Zara Neukom, BSc, MCAP

Zara (she/her) has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and holds a diploma in Human Kinetics and a BSc in Food, Nutrition and Health. Her background informs how she approaches the
therapeutic space and she believes that healing means accessing and deepening the connection between body, mind, and spirit. Zara’s approach is grounded in therapeutic frameworks such as narrative therapy, internal family systems, emotionfocused therapy, emotionfocused family therapy, attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, epigenetics, and research on intergenerational trauma, as well as somatic and mindfulnessbased modalities.

Zaras process is fundamentally experiential, antioppressive, and sometimes transpersonal when client directed. Zara is a student of humanness: the messy, mundane, ineffable and extraordinary. She became a therapist to walk beside her clients as they connect to their inner wisdom, integrate life experiences and find purpose and meaning. She is looking forward to being with you on your journey of selfdiscovery.
