Our Clinic has contracts with several partners that allow us to provide completely free counselling to individuals who meet the requirements for one of our many subsidized counselling programs. OK Clinical Therapy Group is dedicated to providing accessible counseling services through various funding partners. The Crime Victim Assistance Program offers fully subsidized counselling for those impacted by crime, while individuals involved in a BC car collision with an ICBC claim can access complimentary counselling. Work-related accidents covered by WorkSafeBC may qualify for complimentary counselling services. First Nations individuals in a mental health crisis can benefit from up to 30 complimentary sessions through the First Nations Health Authority. The Low Fee – No Fee Counselling Program at OK Clinical Therapy Group is a compassionate initiative led by our Masters Students, who operate on a sliding fee scale tailored to individual employment circumstances. Typically priced at $50 per hour for Individual Counselling and $75 per hour for Couples & Family Counselling (instead of the standard $145 and $160, respectively), we further reduce the rate to accommodate client circumstances, ranging from $25 to $50. This program provides affordable access to quality counselling, and individuals are encouraged to connect with us for more information.

Emily is a dedicated and passionate teacher, and is now a Registered Clinical Counsellor. She has been an educator for five years in learning support and inclusive education. Over the past two years, she has worked as an elementary school counsellor throughout her practicum and internship in her master’s program.

Blaine (he/him/his) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. with a Master of Arts in Applied Theology from Regent College in Vancouver, B.C. He has also completed undergraduate and graduate coursework in psychology and counselling at Kwantlen University and City University of Seattle. Since obtaining his MA he spent nearly four years working for Non-Governmental Organizations in both Haiti and the Central African Republic. Returning to Saskatchewan, she served as an Addiction and Mental Health Counsellor within Saskatoon’s Health Region, working with both youth and adults across outpatient and inpatient settings.

Marnie earned her Masters degree in Social Work from UBC and is a Registered Social Worker. Over the last 30 years, she has been fortunate to learn from many people. Marnie has worked in roles as a Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, and Clinical Director of Services in community agencies. She approaches her work, and personal life from a place of humility, curiosity, and a belief in people’s intrinsic ability to heal and grow. Marnie’s experience has taught her that change happens in the context of a safe and respectful relationship. Especially one that honors each person’s unique cultural, ethnic, gender, and social diversity. Her approach is grounded in compassion and mutual respect as she collaborates closely with each client to choose a path to wellness that meets their unique strengths and needs.

Marcia graduated with a BA in Psychology and a Teaching Certificate from Simon Fraser University. She then completed her Master of Counselling from Trinity Western Seminary. She is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and is registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
Marcia has worked with children and youth in both educational settings and in community groups for the last 25 years. She has spent time as a chaplain in both the US and Canada helping people deal with issues surrounding health, grief, and spirituality. She has worked with street youth, victims of violence, behavioral and learning-challenged children, children with special needs, and those with anxiety.
Marcia utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy and prioritizes the client’s therapeutic relationship. Besides this, she has been trained in trauma therapy and family systems, as well as mindfulness and self-regulation techniques. Marcia wants children, youth, families, and adults to feel safe with her as steps are taken to see change and wholeness.
