Christina, a passionate Registered Social Worker, offers empathic support throughout her client’s mental health journeys. Holding a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from UBCO and five years as a healthcare social worker, she assists individuals and families through life transitions, illness, trauma, and more. Christina’s focus on supporting older adults and caregivers grew during her work in this field, leading her to complete an Advanced Diploma in Gerontology in 2018. Now, as a counsellor for the past year, she aims to create a safe space for clients to navigate complex thoughts and feelings, recognizing the challenges of seeking support.
In her person-centered and holistic counselling practice, Christina views her clients as the experts of their lives. Employing a Strengths-Based approach, she helps uncover inner strengths to overcome challenges. Thoughtfully integrating Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotional Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness Based on clients’ unique needs, Christina ensures a Trauma-Informed and Anti-oppressive approach to hold her clients with genuine positive regard.
Christina is honoured to hold space for her clients, and she strives to develop strategies to maintain meaningful well-being to the folks she supports!
