April 13, 2025Dr. Laura brings over 30 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s many transitions. Furthermore, with an extensive academic background in Clinical Psychology, Health, and Counselling from institutions across Europe and North America, she holds the title ‘Doctor of Health’ from the University of Bath, and a combined master’s degree from the University of Hull (UK) and the University of La Verne (Greece/California). This foundation informs her integrated, education-based approach to therapy.
Laura’s counselling style blends clinical expertise with a strong passion for psychoeducation. In every session, she not only supports clients emotionally but helps them understand the why behind what they’re experiencing. Whether a client is asking, “Why am I feeling this way?” or “Why can’t I move forward?”, she explores the physiological, neurological, and emotional roots of distress, guiding clients toward deeper insight and sustainable change.
Dr. Laura is highly directive and supportive, offering structured tools while creating a warm, respectful space for clients to grow. She integrates holistic health principles. This includes mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual—into her work, helping clients improve brain-body awareness and rewire unhelpful patterns.
She is particularly skilled in working with anxiety and mood disorders, often helping clients shift from feeling overwhelmed to reclaiming energy and confidence in everyday life. Her main focus areas also include stress management, life transitions, parenting challenges, academic concerns, immigration and settlement issues, chronic illness, identity loss, and aging-related transitions.
Dr. Laura continues to be inspired by Rogerian principles—the belief that people flourish when the right conditions are present, both in therapy and in life. Clients who work with her often gain not only emotional clarity but a better understanding of themselves and how their brains work.
If you’re looking for a therapist who blends science, compassion, and education, Dr. Laura offers a grounded and empowering path forward.
