August 5, 2005Jennalyn (she/her) is a practicum student with OK Clinical Therapy Group and is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP).
Compassionate, warm, and direct, Jennalyn believes in empowering clients to take the lead in their own growth. She draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Jennalyn approaches therapy with the following guiding principles
- Relationships and communication are paramount.
- Skills and resilience can be learned and strengthened.
- All behaviours make sense in context.
Jennalyn works with individuals and couples, with a special focus on relationships of all kinds. In her work with couples, she helps partners recognize and shift old, automatic patterns while developing healthier communication and deeper connection.
Outside the therapy room, Jennalyn enjoys exploring Okanagan hiking trails with her giant dog, playing piano, and experimenting with new baking recipes.
Jennalyn is practicing as an intern under the supervision of Jim Robertson (RCC #18688)
