Before embarking on her counselling career, she spent numerous years working in the medical field as a registered psychiatric nurse. This hands-on experience provided her with a profound understanding of the human condition, particularly in the context of mental health. Later, Kelsey pursued her Masters at Yorkville University, enhancing her expertise in counselling.

Mark Stouffer, MS, CCC, RCC

Mark is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and a Registered Clinical Counsellor in British Columbia. Mark earned his master’s degree from Portland State University. In particular, Mark’s counselling style draws on interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB), founded on clinical evidence supporting continuous brain growth. Moreover, he believes that positive changes can start by looking within ourselves. Consequently, Mark offers a non-judgmental and accepting space for you to discuss what’s present for you. Additionally, he approaches counselling holistically, recognizing the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. Marnie earned her Masters degree in Social Work from UBC and is a Registered Social Worker. Over the last 30 years, she has been fortunate to learn from many people. Jennalyn Christopherson, Practicum Student

Jennalyn (she/her) is a practicum student with OK Clinical Therapy Group and is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP).

Compassionate, warm, and direct, Jennalyn believes in empowering clients to take the lead in their own growth. She draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). (If these terms are unfamiliar, that’s okay—together, we’ll explore what feels most helpful for you.)

Angela is originally from Australia, she has followed her dreams and has now made this beautiful country we call Canada, her home.

She brings over two decades of extensive experience in client support, particularly in a healthcare setting. She is excited to contribute to the team as an Intake and Administrative Coordinator and truly values being able to contribute to making peoples lives better.

Angela has always had a desire to help others and achieved this through working in various careers such as a Dental Assistant, Pathology Collector, Assistant in Nursing and numerous years in Government Health Administration. She decided to further her passion for Mental Health, where she can further her skills in connecting with clients, understanding their needs, and providing compassionate care. As Intake and Administrative Coordinator, Angela is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all clients at OK Clinical Therapy Group.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, kayaking and snowshoeing. She loves to try everything life has to offer, such as Ice hockey, snowboarding and horse riding as well as photography, crochet and pottery. She believes in living life to the fullest and wants to experience as much as she can while making true connections along her journey. Traveling and continual learning is a passion of hers, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Nathan Hayward

Community Relations Manager

Nathan is our Community Relations Manager and focuses on building better mental health accessibility in the community.. He is an Okanagan local born and raised. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Counselling in 2016, Nathan has spent his vocational years working with charities, not-for-profits, and school districts in Kelowna, focusing on community development and fundraising. In his previous roles in the community, Nathan has seen the impact that a public-focused mental health service can have. Because of this, he is incredibly excited to be a part of the team at OCCS and make our counselling services known and accessible to all who need them.

Nathan can connect individuals, corporate teams and community organizations to help support everyone’s counselling needs. If you have any questions about connecting with our clinic for partnerships, referral systems, or other community relations-related questions, Nathan will be happy to meet with you. As one of the clinic managers, Nathan will also be happy to assist with any administrative questions or help with online bookings. Nathan can also assist with any technical issues clients may have on the website or Jane App.
