Jane is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and earned her master’s degree in counselling from Monash University in Australia. She also holds master’s degrees in Family Studies and Child Development. Jane has extensive training in using expressive techniques including sand tray and play-based therapies. Expressive techniques allow people of all ages to express their concerns and move towards resolution in a free and protected space without feeling restricted by trying to find the right words. Jane also offers an integrated approach drawing upon principles from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Family Systems.
Her background includes over 15 years of working with children and families in educational, health care and mental health settings. will work with you from a strengths-based approach designed collaboratively with you in order to best meet your goals. Jane is available to work with children, adolescents, adults and families. Jane is thankful for the opportunity to live and work in the Okanagan and would like to acknowledge she works on the unceded territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) People.
