November 3, 2023Devinder (Dev) Dhaliwal, a Registered Social Worker, in good standing, with the British Columbia College of Social Workers and British Columbia Association of Social Workers. He completed a Master of Social Work studies at the University of the Fraser Valley in the beautiful city of Abbotsford nestled in the Fraser Valley, BC, where he was born and raised. Devinder has been in the field as a social worker for over 10 years working with youth/adults, families and relationships. His approach is holistic and a personalized treatment plan designed to improve your quality of life; overcoming the concerns coupled with great self-care moving forward. Devinder is also currently training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to work with complex PTSD concerns and trauma.
Devinder believes in the power of collaboration and creating a safe space for clients to explore their concerns. With a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, he strives to build a strong therapeutic alliance based on trust and mutual respect. Devinder understands the unique challenges faced by individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, and he is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi, offering language accessibility for those who prefer it.
