July 3, 2024Balroop achieved her Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, New Brunswick. The initiation of her career began to advocate the importance of mental health within all age groups. Balroop has worked with children and adults by assisting them in overcoming their emotional and cognitive challenges. While working with children in a school setting, she achieved her Child and Youth Care certification from Sheridan College, Ontario.
Balroop has an integrative approach; therefore, her methodologies are derived from multiple frameworks, such as Internal family systems, Cognitive behavioural therapy, DBT- dialectical approach, ACT- Acceptance and commitment approach, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and motivational interviews. She acknowledges the importance of self-confidence and encourages a collaborative perspective to proceed towards goal achievement. Balroop intends to provide a safe, judgement-free, empathetic, and trustworthy environment that enhances therapeutic relationships and results in growth through an insightful journey.
Balroop’s commitment to mental health advocacy spans across all age groups, stemming from her early career experiences. Her dedication shines through in her work with children and adults, where she assists them in navigating emotional and cognitive challenges. With a Child and Youth Care certification from Sheridan College, Ontario, Balroop brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her practice. Her integrative approach draws from various frameworks, ensuring tailored support for her clients. Through a collaborative and empathetic environment, Balroop fosters growth and empowerment, guiding clients on insightful journeys toward healing and self-discovery.
