Jenni (she/her/hers) is passionate about helping people grow in deeper understanding about themselves, whether in their relationships, sex life, or their mind. She will help reframe shame and transform it into self-compassion. It is incredibly important to Jenni that everyone have a safe place to talk about sex, intimacy, and relationships, in our world where these topics are taboo and controversial. Some of her specialty areas include LGBTQIA2S+, ENM/polyamory, BDSM, and hormone readiness assessments. Alongside her passion for sex-informed therapy, Jenni enjoys supporting survivors of trauma of any kind, including religious, family, car accidents (ICBC approved counsellor and direct billing available), and many others. Jenni creates a calm sanctuary where people can sort through the chaos of their lives or their mind, allowing them to discover what they truly want and need in their lives.Jenni is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Prior to becoming a counsellor, Jenni worked as a Registered Nurse for ten years in a variety of areas including hospital, crisis support, clinical education, and mental health and addictions case management.Drawing from multiple therapeutic modalities, Jenni tailors her counselling approach to each client. Some of her favourite approaches include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), inner child work, cognitive therapies (CBT, DBT, ACT), and many others. Jenni has recently completed training with the Justice Institute on using somatic approaches with trauma.Outside of work, Jenni is a stepmom to two school-aged boys, one diagnosed with Autism.
