Kathryn is a Registered Social Worker and holds a Masters of Clinical Social Work degree from the University of British Columbia Okanagan. With 10 years of experience in the mental health sector, she has developed extensive expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches and client-centered care.
At the heart of Kathryn’s practice is creating a safe, gentle environment where healing can occur. She understands that seeking support requires courage and approaches each client with genuine empathy and compassion. Kathryn believes the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful catalyst for change and works to establish a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
As an EMDR-trained therapist, Kathryn specializes in trauma treatment using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences. Along with trauma therapy, Kathryn specializes in addressing anxiety disorders, providing effective treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, and other anxiety-related conditions using Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Kathryn is passionate about empowering clients through psychoeducation, helping them understand their challenges and develop practical tools for managing them. At the core of her practice is a fundamental belief in each client’s inherent capacity for growth and healing.
Born and raised in the Okanagan, Kathryn feels deeply connected to this community. Outside of her practice, she enjoys spending time at the lake, walking with her golden retriever, and cherishing moments with her partner and children.
