February 14, 2025Paula holds a Master of Social Work from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). She also completed a diploma in Child and Youth Work (CYW) from Humber College. Moreover, being originally from Toronto, Paula now calls the Okanagan home, where she is dedicated to supporting individuals and families in their journey toward healing and growth
Paula’s academic and practical experience is complemented by 17 years of coaching gymnastics. This has enabled her to develop a profound understanding of child development and the importance of nurturing children in a holistic and supportive way. Additionally, her role as a coach fueled her passion for working with children. Offering her unique insights into their needs, strengths, and potential. As well as drawing from her years as a Child and Youth Worker, Paula recognizes the significance of early childhood intervention. Specifically, she is dedicated to supporting children and adolescents through critical developmental transitions, helping them build resilience, develop coping skills, and cultivate a strong sense of identity. Her focus on early intervention promotes mental well-being and empowers young people to navigate challenges and make informed decisions to safeguard their mental health.
Paula has also extended her practice to support young adults, women, and men. Therefore, she is committed to creating a safe, compassionate, client-centred space using a trauma-informed approach. Also incorporating spirituality into her work, she recognizes the importance of grounding and holistic healing. She addresses mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being to ensure all aspects of her clients’ lives are supported.
Paula is dedicated to helping individuals, children and families navigate challenges, build resilience, and thrive in their journeys toward healing and growth.
