Michelle (she/her) is a practicum student completing her Master of Clinical Counselling at City University. Born and raised in Penticton, she holds a deep love for her community and values connection with the people who call it home.
Known for her big, open heart, Michelle brings warmth, compassion, and curiosity into her work. She is passionate about whole-person wellness- mind, body, and spirit- and supports her clients in exploring meaningful growth across all areas of life. Michelle is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative space that accommodates neurodivergent and 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. She feels honoured to walk alongside clients on their paths toward healing and self-discovery.
With deep respect for each person’s unique experience, Michelle blends mindfulness, breathwork and somatic practices alongside a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Her style is integrative, authentic, and always tailored to meet the individual needs of the people she works with.
Outside of her practice, Michelle loves spending time with her family, creating and crafting, reading, teaching yoga, and exploring new ways to learn, grow, and play.
Michelle is practicing as an intern under the supervision of Mirrell Desjardins (CCC #100001749)
