November 3, 2025Mark is an authentic, compassionate, and supportive counsellor who believes that empathy has the power to change lives. He understands that emotions heal when they are witnessed and validated, and he strives to offer a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and cared for.
Mark is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). He holds a Master’s degree in Counselling from Portland State University. His counselling approach is grounded in Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), the study of how our brains grow and change through relationships and experience.
Mark works from a holistic perspective, recognizing that healing involves the mind, body, and spirit. He believes that meaningful change begins with self-awareness and self-compassion. Rather than viewing old habits or emotional patterns as problems, Mark helps clients understand them as once-helpful coping strategies. Together, you can explore what’s behind these patterns, experiment with new ways of being, and move toward growth and balance.
He is especially interested in the science of neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to form new pathways throughout life. Mark sees therapy as a collaborative process that helps rebuild these pathways, creating more space for calm, confidence, and connection.
Mark is committed to providing an inclusive and affirming space for all. He continues to deepen his understanding of how factors such as race, class, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ability shape each person’s experience. He welcomes open and respectful conversations about identity, oppression, and belonging.
Drawing from approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Interpersonal Neurobiology, somatic practices, and mindfulness, Mark tailors each session to meet you where you are. He works closely with individuals experiencing neurodiversity, grief, and life transitions, as well as those wanting to strengthen relationships or improve mental well-being.
